All our police medical training is highly practical, focused on the realities of providing enhanced levels of medical care, often within a cordon. Our courses have been developed in conjunction with authorised firearms officers and chief firearms instructions, to ensure our police medical training meets the real-life needs of the delegates.
Our training courses include a large amount of scenario-based learning and practice, using casualty scenarios relevant to the firearms team. Our training kit reflects the medical kits carried by the enhanced level authorised firearms officer and allows then to train as they deploy. For some detail on our approach to casualty simulation and scenarios visit our Training Scenarios and Simulations page.
Successful completion of our training course now leads to a qualification/certificate from the Royal College of Surgeons [Edinburgh].
We can also offer an “international” version including content for those working in hostile or remote locations including the care of a casualty in a delayed setting. Details of the type of training this covers can be found here. Each of these courses are designed as bespoke packages, so please contact us on the details below.
