This page covers the general joining instructions for our paediatric first aid courses running at WestLeigh Baptist Church, but we have also created additional pages to cover the slightly different requirements of most of our courses which run at our HQ.
If you are attending a bespoke course, or we are coming to you, then you will received specific joining instructions for your course. Any doubts or questions give us a call on 0800 242 5210.

There is free parking available nearby.
If you are coming by public transport the local bus company has a journey planner
The nearest train stations are Rayleigh on the London Liverpool Street- Southend Victoria line and Leigh on Sea on the Fenchurch Street- Shoeburyness line. For rail journeys you might want to check National Rail Planner
Courses typically start at 0930 during the week and 1000 at weekends. We ask that you arrive about 10-15 minutes before the course is due to start and report to the building’s reception. Here you will be meet and directed towards the training room.
All our first aid courses are highly practical so we advise that you wear old, comfortable clothing as you will be rolling around on the floor and many of our first aid courses include the use of fake blood. We use proper “stage” blood which is designed to wash off clothes, skin and hair, but it’s best to wear older clothing.
The course fees include refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits but lunch is not normally provided. There is aย Waitrose and a Sainsbury Local nearby and a cafe and fish restaurant close by.
Once you are on the course we love to hear how it’s going. You can “check in” on Facebook at Lazarus Training, tweet to us @lazarustraining and share your photos with us on instagram [again @lazarustraining].
If you have any specific questions or requirements which may impact the training, please contact us in advance on 0800 242 5210.
