The Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support (RQF) is a regulated, nationally recognised one-day qualification for people who may need to provide emergency or urgent care outside a hospital environment.
This course is suitable for emergency care providers, ambulance support workers, associate ambulance practitioners, registered healthcare professionals, and specialist roles within the emergency services or military. It explicitly addresses the Skills for Health Core Skills Training Framework Level 1, 2 and 3 Adult Immediate Life Support outcomes.
Course overview
This qualification develops and strengthens the knowledge and practical skills needed to assess and manage an adult patient requiring immediate life support in an out of hospital setting.
Learners will practise a structured approach to patient assessment, recognise deterioration, manage the airway, support adult immediate life support and understand post-resuscitation care.
